Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion twerk onstage at VMAs 2023 in steamy performance of new song ‘Bongos’

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were throwing it back like it’s Thursday at the MTV VMAs 2023.

The rappers took the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Tuesday night to perform their latest collaboration, “Bongos.”

It marked the first time the Grammy winners have performed the new single live.

Cardi and Megan heated up the arena as they fiercely twerked and swirled their hips in similar jungle-inspired costumes.

The hip-hop duo had the crowd on their feet for the steamy performance, which featured all-female backup dancers.

Cameras caught Taylor Swift and Ice Spice dancing together in the audience, while Cardi’s husband, Offset, also appeared to be enjoying the upbeat song.

Prior to taking the stage, Cardi and Megan — who appeared to have a heated backstage exchange with Justin Timberlake before their performance — both turned heads on the pink carpet at the award show.

The Migos artist, 31, coordinated with his other half in a black suit with a silver belt, while accessorizing with the same hair clips to match his wife.

During her pre-show interview with MTV, Cardi gushed about teaming up with the “Savage” hitmaker again following the success of their 2020 collaboration, “WAP.”

“I don’t really f—k with a lot of people, she’s one of the people that I mess with … we work so great together,” the mom of two said.

“When we’re working she trusts me and I trust her, and I just love that.”
