Sia debuts her ‘amazing’ facelift results at Daytime Beauty Awards 2023

Sia feels “Unstoppable.”

The singer revealed at the 2023 Daytime Beauty Awards on Sunday night that she recently underwent a facelift.

Sia, who is known for covering her face with oversize wigs, showed off the results of the procedure while presenting her “good friend” Dr. Ben Talei with the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine award.

“I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about s–t,” she told the audience. “I got an amazing facelift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible, and he is doing so much good work — and not just for the pop stars of the world.”

The Grammy nominee, 47, went on to share that when friends compliment her by saying she looks “nice,” she immediately tells them the reason.

“I’m like, ‘Dr. Ben Talei, facelift — for, like, anything you could ever want.’ I love him. I can’t say enough good about him,” she enthused.

And Talei was equally effusive about Sia, whose full name is Sia Furler.

“I don’t know if you guys know how amazing Sia is as a person,” he said onstage. “We have a lot of common friends, and it’s always shocking how many keep saying, ‘I love her, I love her, I love her. She’s amazing.'”

The Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon continued, “She really is — like you can see — a bright ray of sunshine and made my nieces and nephews’ days. She invited them over to her house for a big party, and the whole family loves her. I’m super grateful.”

After the ceremony, Talei posted a photo on Instagram of the two hugging at the awards ceremony, writing that he was “beyond grateful to have been bestowed this honor” by his “incredibly amazing friend Sia.”

“It’s incredible to have someone you love and respect so much do something so nice for you. It makes you feel more than unstoppable,” he added.

When Sia first made it big in 204, she explained her decision to conceal her face in public.

“I don’t want to be famous or recognizable,” she told Chris Connelly on “Nightline” at the time. “I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet.

“I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars now for a couple of years, and I’ve become friends with them and see what their life is like, and that’s not something I want.”

However, the Australia native — who got married earlier this year — has been more open about her personal life as of late.

She recently shared that her 2016 divorce left her “severely depressed.”

Last month, Sia shared that she had been “severely depressed” following her 2016 divorce from her first husband, filmmaker Erik Anders Lang.

“That really threw me for a loop. That was such a dark time that I was in bed for three years, really, really severely depressed. And so I couldn’t really do anything for that period of time,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

The “Chandelier” performer also revealed in May that she received a late-in-life diagnosis of autism.
