Snoop Dogg gave new meaning to “green room” at the ArcLight Hollywood cinema during a premiere for the rapper’s latest pot-friendly film, “The Beach Bum.”
After the screening, we hear that a message was sent from the theater to premiere organizers regarding a few “issues” with the movie’s “talent” — which sources said were in reference to the weed-loving LA rapper.
“The main issue is that the talent smoked weed in the green room,” said a message from a multiplex staffer. “The site has spent all day airing it out and I checked it about two hours ago and it smells a bit better, just a faint smell remains.”
A rep for the event didn’t comment.
The movie, by Harmony Korine, also stars Matthew McConaughey, who detailed to Jimmy Kimmel Snoop’s cannabis consumption on the set. McConaughey, playing Moondog, assumed he was smoking the production’s faux joints filled with oregano during one smoky scene.
“Right after the scene, I just feel like, ‘Man, I’m not sure that was a prop.’ And Snoop goes, ‘Yo, Moondog. That wasn’t prop weed; that was Snoop weed.’ I said, ‘OK, man! Buckle up because here we go’ . . . I didn’t say another word of English, really, the rest of the night.”
